Alanis Morissette Joins Pink Onstage for Surprise Duet of ‘You Oughta Know’: ‘Love You So Much It Hurts’

Pink raises her glass — and the microphone! — for Alanis Morissette.

The singer gave fans a big surprise at a recent concert when she performed a cover of Morissette’s classic “You Oughta Know” and then brought out the rocker herself to help her finish the song.

Pink, 44, was performing at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on Thursday night as part of her summer carnival tour when she belted out a special version of 1995’s “You Oughta Know.”

But as she sang the chorus, the star revealed she had another trick up her sleeve: Morissette, who ran on stage to join Pink for the song.

After the song ended, the two embraced as Pink told her, “I love you so much it hurts.”

“That woman changed everything. She changed everything,” the “So What” singer told the audience. “OK. I need to calm down.”

“This woman. so lucky to exist in this world @pink your guidance, wisdom, power and deep kindness are a gift to me and everyone. thank you for having me 🪂🔥🤩🙏🏻❤️🙌🏻,” she captioned the post.

Stars like Ricki Lake, Rosie O’Donnell and Brad Garrett also praised the couple in the comments section of the post, as did Morissette’s husband Souleye, who left several emojis including a red heart, two flames and two crowns.

Pink is performing at Hyde Park Festival 2023 in London in June.

She was also asked during the interview in 2021 Stare to name the lines she loved and responded with a line from “You Oughta Know.”

“‘And every time I scratch somebody’s back with my nails, I hope you feel it,'” she said. “Great line.”

The star is currently in the middle of the North American leg of his tour, which will end in November. They will then continue in Australia in February.
