Alex made his television debut in 2007 as a contestant on Iron Chef America on The Food Network. She competed in the fourth season of The Next Iron Chef in 2011, finishing as the third runner-up. She also competed on the Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast, but lost. Guarnaschelli became a chef on Geoffrey Zakarian’s Iron Chef after competing on the fourth season of The Next Iron Chef. She hosted The Cooking Loft with Alex Guarnaschelli on The Food Network in 2008. She participated as a judge on the competition show Food Network Challenge.
Alex is a regular judge on Food Network’s competition show Chopped, as well as Food Network’s The Best Thing I Ever Ate. Guarnaschelli participated in The Next Iron Chef: Redemption in season 5.
