Cardi B and Offset may be divorced, but they’re still embracing parenthood and being a modern family.
Together, the former couple are parents to daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus, 5, and son Wave Seth Cephus, 2. Offset is also father to sons Jordan Cephus, 14, and Kody Cephus, 8, and daughter Kalee Marie Cephus, 8, from a previous relationship.
Cardi B announced that she and Offset had broken it off during an Instagram Live in December 2023. “I’ve been alone for a minute,” she said, before adding that she was “afraid” to share the news.
The Migos rapper has previously spoken about how grateful he is for his blended family Essence in April 2022, “It’s a blessing to have them all together and to have a wife who is open and treats them like they’re her children,” he shared. “It could be a problem, but I don’t have to go through that, and that’s wonderful.”

Cardi has also embraced her role as a stepmother. “After we got married, that’s when I met his children for the first time. I always wanted them to love me, and they really did. That’s what they tell me. I feel it and I hope we’ll always have a great relationship,” she said. .

The former couple’s daughter, Kulture Kiari, was born on July 10, 2018, in Atlanta. The next day, Cardi announced the birth on Instagram with a nude pregnancy photo.
After months of speculation that she was pregnant, the New York-born rapper confirmed her pregnancy in April while performing as the musical guest at Saturday night liveproudly debuting her baby bump.

Cardi hasn’t shied away from documenting Kulture milestones and adorable moments on social media and even brought her daughter on stage. Along with her three older siblings, Kulture appeared on the cover of her father’s debut solo album, aptly titled “Father of 4.”
Proud parents are known for going the extra mile when it comes to their little ones’ birthdays, and their celebration for Kulture, who turned 4, was no exception. In addition to the elaborate mermaid-themed party, the rappers presented the little girl with $50,000 in cash.
Despite the extravagant gift, Cardi said she tries to make sure their children stay humble despite their parents’ means.
“They need to know that they never feel comfortable. They never feel like, ‘I’m going to get it because I’m Cardi and Offset’s kid,'” she told Vogue Singapore. “They’ll never know what fighting feels like, so maybe they won’t feel the hunger that I had to get off the street.”

While Cardi and Offset hope their kids don’t grow up feeling too self-important, the superstar parents are clearly working hard to make their daughters feel special. Offset even took Kulture and Kale to the premiere of the movie in May 2023 Little Mermaidwhere the girls arrived in ball gowns.
Kulture wore a long black dress with floral details while her sister wore a white dress with black flowers. Both girls had tiaras. Offset shared photos of Kulture and Kalee on his Instagram page, calling them “my princesses” in the caption.
But Cardi knows parenthood isn’t always as glamorous as it looks on the red carpet. In June 2023, Cardi opened up to PEOPLE about the challenges that come with cooking for kids. “It doesn’t matter if you’re rich or not, famous or not. It’s like your kids, when they’re hungry, they’re going to say, ‘I want this, and you have to cook it now.’ ”
The busy mom noticed that Kulture is a “picky” eater. “She doesn’t like anything,” the rapper said, adding that some of her favorite foods are “simple things” like chicken pasta.

In June 2023, Kulture completed preschool education. She was awarded a diploma for the “best dance moves”, and told the gathered parents and teachers that she wants to be a doctor when she grows up.

The following month, Cardi B took to Instagram to share photos and videos from the family’s trip to Nickelodeon Universe at the American Dream Mall in New Jersey. In the description, she wrote that Kulture is growing up fast.
My baby is five years old, the proud mom wrote. “Happy birthday to my beautiful princess. It’s great to see my little girl grow up, yet I’m a little sad that my baby is no longer my little baby.💖🎀🍰🎂5️⃣.”

Cardi and Offset welcomed their second child together, son Wave Seto, on September 4, 2021, in Atlanta. They waited to announce his name and share a photo of his face until April 2022, when he was seven months old.

“We are so overjoyed to finally meet our son,” they said in a statement they shared with PEOPLE after his birth. “He is already well loved by his family and friends and we can’t wait to meet his other siblings.”
Cardi first shared news of her pregnancy while on stage with her then-husband at the BET Awards in June. She joined Migos on stage for “Type S—,” wearing an embroidered bodysuit with a see-through midriff that revealed her baby bump.

In September 2022, the former couple celebrated their son’s first birthday with a race car-themed party, where the boy made his grand entrance in a bedazzled pickup truck. Offset also shared a sweet tribute to Wave on Instagram. “MY BIG WAVE IS 1 YEAR OLD TODAY I LOVE YOU BIG MAN ‼️”, he wrote in the description along with a video of the father-son duo and a series of cute photos.
Cardi is completely mesmerized by Wave. In October 2022, she posted a photo of her son on Instagram and wrote “all mine”. The then 13-month-old looked cute in a knit square zip top, navy cargo pants and a gray beanie.
On November 17, 2022, Cardi showed her love for Wave by showing off a new tattoo on her Instagram Story. In the photo, the mother-of-two held back her hair to reveal Wave’s name written in red and brown letters against her jawline.

In “Father of 4,” a song from his debut solo album of the same name, Offset reflected on becoming a young father to Jordan: “I was 17 when I had you / Tryna find my soul when I had you / I was oh , I was so broke when I had you / Locked down the road when I had you / Jordan, sorry I wasn’t there for all your birthdays / I tried to guess and I wasn’t rich, I didn’t have a job.”
In the cover story for 2019 The ultimate life, the Atlanta-born rapper also explained that he’s learned a lot since having his first child. “The fatherhood journey was kind of difficult for me at first. I was trying to find myself. I didn’t have a lot of guidance about what it means to be a father. I definitely made some mistakes, but I have no regrets.”
Jordan attended his younger brother Wave’s September 2022 birthday bash, where he coordinated with Cardi, Offset and his four siblings in matching floral print outfits. “My HEART ♥️,” Cardi captioned the shot that day.
Offset later shared with PEOPLE how important it was to him to have all of his kids there for the big day.
“It was simply mandatory [they all attended],” he said. “Fortunately, I’m blessed with a wonderful wife who has embraced my children as her own and family, so that’s always a must.”
The “Ric Flair Drip” rapper continued, “It’s a must for everyone to celebrate with each other and grow up with each other because they love each other. They talk to each other on the phone all the time and it’s just beautiful. My mom has two other kids and I grew up with my brothers and we know them all—it’s just the same thing.”
Later that year, Offset must have celebrated Jordan’s 13th birthday as well. On December 20, 2022, the rapper posted a sweet tribute on Instagram that included photos of him with Jordan throughout the years, as well as shots of the boy with his siblings.

Kody expressed an interest in music like his famous father, making his rapping debut at age 6 called “Lamb Truck” in a video posted on Offset’s Instagram, where Kody danced and sang along to his song with his sister Kale.
To celebrate Kody’s 7th birthday, the rapper dedicated an adorable Instagram post to his son with a series of photos. “Happy birthday KING KODY BIG 7 you’re my TWIN. I love you so much I like you so much but I’m proud of you son you got good grades and you’re responsible at 7 I love you 4L son,” Offset wrote in the caption announcements.

In September 2022, Offset spoke with PEOPLE about how he finds time to prioritize his children while balancing his busy career, noting that his children’s milestones always come first.
“Being a father is important to me personally,” he said. “For example, there’s a big party on Saturday, right? In Los Angeles. And my son Kody’s first soccer game is on Sunday. There’s no way I’m going to miss any events, so I’m going to have to make it happen. That’s my priority.”
The proud dad later posted a photo of him and Kody from the boy’s first football game on 9/11.

In his song “Father of 4,” the Grammy nominee opened up about missing the first years of Kalea’s life: “Kalea, you’re my first, first daughter / I missed the first years of your life, I’m sorry / Tell the truth, I really don’t know was I your father / Tell the truth, I really don’t even know your mom.”
Thankfully, his relationship with his daughter has since improved, and L’amour even credited Cardi for helping Offset “grow up a lot.”
