All About Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen’s Son Benjamin

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen are superstars in their respective fields—football and modeling—but none of their accomplishments compare to becoming parents to their first child together, son Benjamin Rein Brady.

After his birth in December 2009, all other obligations immediately seemed less important to them.

“When I was 25, all I thought about was football,” Brady shared on his SiriusXM podcast Let’s go!. “Then, over time, other priorities develop as you change and evolve through life … different responsibilities, family and obligations and so on.”

Brady and Bündchen also have a daughter, Vivian Lake Brady, and Brady welcomed his older son, John “Jack” Edward Thomas Moynahan, with actress Bridget Moynahan.

While Brady tried to balance parenthood and a football career, Bündchen devoted herself to caring for Benjamin and their other children. “His focus is on his career, mine is mostly on the kids,” she said Vogue UK 2022. “I am very grateful to him for allowing me to take the reins when it comes to our family. He trusts my decisions.”

Brady has had more time to devote to his children after he retires in 2023. “They’ve watched enough of their dad’s games, and it’s time for me to watch theirs,” he said.

While Benjamin is following in his dad’s footsteps in athletics, he’s also a big fan of making music — something his supermodel mom loves.

“It makes me proud to see them all become themselves, but how their principles and their values are so strong,” Bündchen told PEOPLE of her children in 2023. “It makes me so happy to see them blossom into their own beings.”
