Bear is back with a bunch of culinary cameos that will make you say “yes, chef!” through 10 new episodes.
The Emmy-winning FX series premiered its third season on June 26, with the show’s regular cast sharing screen time with food heavyweights as the fallout from the opening episode of Bear unfolds.
In the first episode of the season, “Tomorrow,” Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White) reminisces about her past experiences working in fine dining, which leads to appearances by Daniel Boulud and Noma’s René Redzepi. Another episode full of episodes, the finale sees Chef Terry (Olivia Colman) host a who’s who of chefs at the closing dinner for her Chicago restaurant, Ever (a fictionalized version of a real restaurant in the Windy City).
There’s even an A-list movie star making an appearance.

In another flashback montage from “Tomorrow,” Carmy goes to Copenhagen to work at Redzepi’s world-famous Noma, where he and the Danish chef share a look.
“We had a lot of fun welcoming you to our space on a perfect summer weekend in Copenhagen and, among other things, teaching @jeremyallenwhitefinally how to properly carve a nice piece of squid,” the restaurant posted on its official Instagram account.

Beran, who owns the French restaurant Pasjoli in Santa Monica, is also seen in the first episode working with Carmy at Chef Terry’s Ever.
in 2023, White said Golden derby that he visited Pasjoli to research what it’s like to work in a professional kitchen.
“I spent a lot of time as a fly on the wall and I would help them with preparations where you can’t really screw anything up,” he told the newspaper. “It was a pretty busy night and Chef Dave [Beran] pushed me to the line.” White said he was told to “start cooking,” even though he was “so, so scared.”

James has been the owner of the popular Uncle Paulie’s Deli in Los Angeles since 2017. Fittingly, he plays Chuckie, a character who comes to help run Bear’s sandwich shop in episode 7 titled “Legacy.”

The finale begins with a flashback to Carmy’s time at Keller’s iconic California restaurant, the French Laundry.
Keller shows Carmy how to remove the groove while preparing a roast chicken. Then he says, “I know people call me a chef, but our trade is cooking, and that, to me, is such a deep profession, because we really become a part of people’s lives in a meaningful way.”

A “funeral” dinner for Ever, attended by Carmy, Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) and Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), brings out its long list of culinary stars.
Real-life chefs appearing at the meal include Grant Achtaz (Alinea), Wylie Dufresne (wd~50, Stretch Pizza), Christina Tosi (Milk Bar), Malcolm Livingston II (Noma), Kevin Boehm (Boka Restaurant Group), Will Guidara (former co-owner of Eleven Madison Park), Anna Posey (Elske), Genie Kwon (Kasama) and Rosio Sanchez (former pastry chef at Noma).

The Ever event also features an appearance by a very recognizable fictional chef.
When Carmy arrives, she sees a collage of photos showing various colleagues who worked with Chef Terry. One is a picture of Cooper in the 2015 film Burnt. He played Adam Jones, a temperamental chef on a mission to earn his third Michelin star.
No word on whether we can expect an actual cameo movie Maestro actor in season 4. He does have his own food truck though.
