All the Details on Vanessa Hudgens’ ‘Sexy and Feminine’ Vera Wang Wedding Dress

Vanessa Hudgens turned up the glamor for her walk down the aisle!

The actress, 34, married baseball player Cole Tucker on Dec. 2, wearing a Vera Wang wedding dress that she revealed in a new interview with Vogue. According to the publication, the plunging ivory halter neck gown was paired with a custom embroidered veil that read “Mrs. T December 2, 2023.” in Gothic font. Her formal shoes were from Paris Texas.

“Vera has been my incredible friend and supporter,” Vanessa told Vogue. “I always felt so confident, sexy and feminine whenever I was in her clothes. And so I said, ‘You know, that’s the vibe… that’s how I want to feel for my wedding day. She also has such an incredible resume of women dressing for the most important day of their lives, and I thought, ‘Who better to do that than a friend?'”

When she was shopping for her wedding dress, Hudgens explained that she wanted something “elegant, modern and sexy.”

The shape of the dress was inspired by ’90s supermodels, and she explained that her stylist Jason Bolden traveled with her to the Vera Wang store in New York. She tried on several dresses there. But in the end, she landed on the first one she put on.

“I put it on and I was like, ‘It’s perfect. It’s easy, simple and chic,” she said. “It was exactly what I wanted, but obviously we had to dress it up a bit and add a little more love to it to make it special, just for me. I wanted it to look like I was floating and I loved the combination of the cloak and the veil.”

“When I saw the robe, I thought I might as well try it on,” she added. “I love the whole ethereal bohemian vibe – it’s always going to be a part of me, but I didn’t want it to be the main thing.”

The dress, featured in the brand’s Darling collection, perfectly matched Hudgens’ romantic bohemian style with its flowing A-line silhouette, cut-out corset, cascading ribbons on the sleeves and a sexy thigh-high slit.

Full details of the piece are available on Galie Lahav’s website and the design is available for purchase at one of the fashion brand’s many boutiques worldwide.

Hudgens actually visited the flagship store in Los Angeles and, according to the brand, “fell in love” with the garment.

“It is an immense honor and joy to see Vanessa Hudgens choose one of our designs for such a significant moment in her life!” Sharon Sever, head designer of Galia Lahav, tells PEOPLE, “The dress she chose was such a perfect choice for her beach welcome party!”

A month before revealing her wedding dress, The High school musical alum got into the wedding spirit a little early in honor of Halloween. She and a group of friends celebrated the spooky season in October with a fun “themed night,” dressing up together and posing for photos in an elevator.

In the photos posted on Instagram, Hudgens wore a lacy white wedding dress, accessorized with a star-studded headdress and sheer veil and gloves, while the other women wore vampy black looks and funeral veils.

“I love theme night. Can you guess what it was?” she wrote in the description.

In a separate post, Hudgens shared three solo photos of herself that better show off her veil, which was embroidered with the phrase “VH♥️CT,” presumably for “Vanessa Hudgens loves Cole Tucker.”

Hudgens and Tucker, who first sparked dating rumors in November 2020, announced their engagement in February. The couple met while participating in a group meditation on Zoom.

“I go into Zoom and I’m like, ‘Who is that?’ I found him and we started talking,’ Hudgens recalled during a May 2021 appearance The Drew Barrymore Showjoking that he’s not ashamed to go after what he wants.

“If I want something or someone, I go after them. I totally got into his DM and said, ‘Hey, nice to meet you,'” she said of the 27-year-old Tucker, who plays in the minor leagues for the Albuquerque Isotopes . “So I think there’s no shame in making the first move.”
