Nicola will join the glittering cast of upcoming Sky Atlantic and NOW period series, Mary & George. Billed as a psychological drama, the story will revolve around Mary Villiers and her son George, Duke of Buckingham, who engage in a scandalous affair with King James I of England.
Son George is played by Nicholas Galitzine, who recently rose to fame with his role in Casey McQuinston’s romantic novel, Red, White and Royal Blue. Nicola, meanwhile, plays Lady Hatton, lady-in-waiting to the king’s wife, Anne of Denmark.

What did Nicola Walker say about Annika?
As mentioned above, Nicola has previously expressed her love for the role of Annika. She told the Radio Times: “It’s a very fulfilling drama series because she’s not interested in amazing things. She likes to discover. The whole premise is that Annika loves to discover – maybe too much! Sometimes she goes too far.
“So there are secrets, but they’re not secrets for long. Turns out she’s absolutely terrible at keeping secrets—which is why I think I love her!”
