Alison Holker

Allison Holker is an American dancer, choreographer, actress and television personality. She is best known for her appearance in the second season of the television dance competition series So You Think You Can Dance and was one of the all-stars in seasons 7-11 and 14.

Allison Holker was born on Saturday, February 6, 1988, in Anoka County, Minnesota, United States (34 years old as of 2022). Her zodiac sign is Aquarius. She spent her childhood in Minnesota skating every winter on a homemade rink her father built in her backyard. She recalled her childhood in an interview and said:

I learned to skate when I was very young. I even took some figure skating lessons. I used to play hockey in the backyard with my brothers. “

After moving to Utah at age 9, Holker discovered dance and skating was put on the back burner. There she became a student of the Orem Dance Club and began her dance training. At the age of 11, she studied ballet, tap, jazz, modern and hip-hop. She later toured with dance convention New York Dance Alliance. She attended Timpanogos High School in Orem, Utah. In 2004, she won the dance championship in the first national dance competition “Co DANCE”. At 16, she won a national championship with the New York City Dance Alliance, after which they hired her as an assistant.

Allison Holker married Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss on December 11, 2013 at Nigel Lythgoe’s Villa San Juliette Vineyard and Winery in Paso Robles, California. Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss is an American freestyle hip-hop dancer, choreographer, actor, television producer and television personality, popular for the television shows So You Think You Can Dance and The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Alison and Stephen have two children, a daughter, Zaia Boss (born in 2019) and a son, Maddox Laurel Boss (born in 2016) . Allison Holker adopted a daughter named Weslie Renae Fowler (born 2008). On December 13, 2022, Stephen Boss committed suicide in a Los Angeles hotel room.

Stephen Boss and Alison Holker dated for three years. The couple first met at a party at the end of the 2010 season of So You Think You Can Dance. He proposed to her while they were filming a dance shoot for a Microsoft commercial.

She performed at the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics with the American band Earth, Wind & Fire. She has trained in various dance styles. As a choreographer, she collaborated in 2012 with Canadian ice dancers Kaitlyn Weaver and Andrew Poje. She worked as a backup dancer on the American “X Factor” with Brian Friedman. On April 30, 2013, she and her husband tWitch collaborated on the song “Crystalize” on “Dancing with the Stars”, sung live by Lindsey Stirling. She appeared on seasons 19, 20, 21 and 23 of the ABC television show Dancing with the Stars. In season 19, she was paired with Mean Girls actor Jonathan Bennett, but they were eliminated in week 6, finishing in ninth place.

In 2017, Allison and tWitch began hosting Disney’s Fairytale Weddings, a documentary television series about couples and their Disney-themed weddings that airs on the Disney Freeform network and the Disney+ streaming service.
