Ally Lewber is speaking out following her boyfriend James Kennedy’s domestic violence arrest.
On Saturday, December 14, Vanderpump Rules The 28-year-old star shared a statement on her Instagram stories, thanking fans for their support and letting them know how she’s doing.
“Thank you to everyone who reached out to me with love and support and checking on me,” she wrote.
“I’m fine and right now I’m taking the time I need,” she continued. “I deeply appreciate all the kindness and respect for my privacy during this time.”

A police spokesperson confirmed to PEOPLE on Dec. 12 that the Burbank Police Department was called to Vanderpump Rules alum’s home in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Dec. 10, “in reference to an argument between a man and a woman.”
Authorities did not say whether the woman involved was Lewber, but noted that their investigation “determined that this was a domestic incident, which led to [Kennedy’s] arrest.” DJ was “reported for misdemeanor domestic violence and later posted bail. Formal charges are pending review by the Burbank City Attorney’s Office.”
According to TMZ, which first reported the news, citing a law enforcement source, a witness allegedly saw Kennedy getting physical with the woman, but authorities saw no injuries when they arrived on the scene. He was released on $20,000 bail, the newspaper reported.
Kennedy’s attorneys later issued a statement to PEOPLE about the alleged incident, saying, “We are in the process of conducting our own investigation into the charges brought against James by the Burbank Police Department. We understand that no injuries were reported and we hope that, after a thorough review, the city’s attorneys will decide that they don’t file an official indictment.”

Earlier that night, the couple attended Kathy Hilton’s annual bash. A source told PEOPLE that the couple spent most of the event apart and didn’t show much affection for each other.
Another source claimed that Kennedy was “acting so strange, running back and forth to the bar and checking people out. He seemed tipsy. He spent most of the evening alone, but when he did talk to people, he seemed irritated and rude.”

A day after the alleged incident, Lewber attended a New Year’s Eve party with Windsor on December 11. During the gathering, she was photographed smiling on the red carpet and winning ephemeral tattoo by The Tattoo Shop.

Kennedy and Lewber began dating in January 2022, just over a month after Kennedy broke off his engagement to VPR costar Rachel (formerly Raquel) Leviss. The couple first met at a concert by Tom Sandoval’s band, The Most Extras.
Lewber later admitted that she was a fan of the Bravo series, telling Andy Cohen during the show’s Season 10 reunion, “I saw Vanderpump Rules. During COVID, I went down the Bravo rabbit hole.”
Lewber has been by Kennedy’s side ever since, saying that “meeting him [was] different”, despite its controversial past VPR. “I gave him a chance to really show me who he was,” Lewber recalled, adding that he was “lovely.”
In June 2023, the two moved into a house together in Burbank, California. The spacious abode has three bedrooms, a pool and a DJ studio for Kennedy.
