Amanda Batula Felt Relieved Her Winter House Pregnancy Test Came Back Negative: ‘We Were Drinking So Much’

Teaser for Winter house season 3 suggested that Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke may have brought another house guest to Colorado: a baby!

To the couple’s relief, the pregnancy test taken by Batula (32) turned out to be negative. During Winter house panel at BravoCon 2023 in Las Vegas on Friday, Batula said she “hopes it’s negative because we drank so much.”

“It’s always scary to pee on a stick,” she added.

Batula and Cooke, 41, told PEOPLE that they still don’t feel ready to start a family.

“We were never ready for kids and we still aren’t,” Batula said. “We’re practicing, we’re not trying with babies yet. Our schedules are so busy.”

The couple, who got married in September 2021, already have two little ones to look after at home. “We’re so caught up in the dogs,” Batula said. “Eventually we’ll be ready for kids.”

Cooke also considers his drinks company, Loverboy, one of his kids.

“I think we both realized that, okay, things are a little chaotic right now, especially with Loverboy,” he said. “It’s one thing to make TV shows, it’s another thing to run a company. Loverboy is my pride and joy. I don’t want to be an absentee dad.”

Batula and Cooke also opened up about the breakup with their co-stars Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard.

“Really, my goal is just to provide support in the best possible way,” said Batula. “We have a history with both of them, they are our friends. They’re going through a really tough time and to be there for as long as they need at that moment, without choosing sides or taking a stand, it’s just being there to support our friends.”

Cooke admitted it can be “tricky”.

“It’s a difficult situation even for us to navigate, I can’t even imagine Carl and Lindsay especially in this environment,” he said. “We’re not trying to sit here and screw up the details. Trust me, there’s a lot of footage to come and right now they’re just trying to be supportive.”

Batula said she feels like Scandoval has upped the ante for other Bravo shows.

“Everything feels like it needs to be higher, bigger and crazier,” she said. “People want every break to be chaotic and explosive. Sometimes things just don’t work out. It’s that simple.”

While Vanderpump Rules accidentally aired and recorded while Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix’s breakup was unfolding, Summer house fans will have to wait until February to see what happened between Radke, 38, and Hubbard, 37.

“This is not happening in real time like Scandoval,” Cooke noted. “They’re both kind of hurt and they’re both trying to figure out a new normal.”
