The ‘Barbie’ star (39) showed how supportive her husband Ryan Piers Williams was during awards season
Fans Barbie aren’t the only ones in love with America’s red carpet look from Ferrera.
On Sunday, Ferrera, 39, took to Instagram to recreate her look from the 2024 SAG Awards red carpet, showing off her custom black silk and wool Dior Haute Couture gown that featured white organza sleeves.
She playfully pointed out the moments in which her husband Ryan Piers Williams supported her at the SAG Awards, writing that it was “a love story in five pictures”.
Captioning the photo gallery, Ferrera shared that Williams, 42, can be seen “looking at” her and that she was upset after he refused to “kiss [me] in the photo” before deciding to “forgive him and walk away”, as she stuck her tongue out for a selfie at the awards show.
In another post shared by Ferrera’s stylist, Karla Welch, Williams can be seen acting as his wife’s Instagram host, snapping photos of her before the actress hit the red carpet.

Williams has been a supportive partner while his Oscar-nominated wife has been out several times this awards season. However, one of the actor’s biggest supporting moments came when he made a surprise appearance in the Barbieplaying Ferrera’s on-screen husband.
America Ferrera feels like a ‘Barbie from a fairy tale’ in a Dior gown at the 2024 SAG Awards.
“We haven’t told anyone, none of our friends or family,” Ferrera told PEOPLE in January.
Yes, that’s America Ferrera’s real-life husband in ‘Barbie’: ‘My favorite and forever Ken’
“It came about because of my first Zoom with Greta,” revealed the actress, talking about Barbie director and co-writer Greta Gerwig. “I told her all my favorite parts of the script and all the parts that made me laugh out loud. And I was like, ‘Oh my God, I laughed so hard when you interrupted my dad in Spanish class,’ because my husband was literally in the other room having Spanish class.”

“She immediately said, ‘Oh my God, does he want to play your husband?’ And I said, ‘I don’t know, you’ll have to ask him,'” Ferrera recalled. “…When the time came, she said, ‘Remember when I asked you if your husband would play your husband?’ And he said yes.”
“So it was really fun and it was, it became a family thing and it was great,” added the Best Supporting Actress nominee.
