American Music Awards' 50th Anniversary Special Will Include Appearances by Mariah Carey, Brad Paisley and Jennifer Lopez

The special 50th anniversary celebration of the American Music Awards will be a star-studded affair.

On Thursday, September 26, CBS and Dick Clark Productions announced that the special – held in lieu of the usual American Music Awards to commemorate the series’ 50 years – will feature performances by Brad Paisley, Chaka Khan, Gladys Knight, Green Day, Jennifer Hudson , Kane Brown, Mariah Carey, RAYE and Stray Kids.

Additionally, special guests and event announcers will include Carrie Underwood, who has won 17 AMAs during her career, multiple award winners Gloria Estefan and Jennifer Lopez, and five-time AMA host Jimmy Kimmel.

The regular AMAs will air in May 2025, CBS added.

According to a press release, each performer will pay tribute to the achievements of past AMA Award winners.
