Amish Tripathi born on October 18, 1974 (age 47 in 2021) is a famous Indian writer. Amish Tripathi was born in Mumbai and grew up in Rourkela, near Otisha. His Shiva Trilogy and Ram Chandra Series are the fastest-selling book series in Indian history. He is an alumnus of the Cathedral and John Connon Schools, St. Xavier’s College, Bombay, and the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. Later, he received an honorary doctorate in arts and letters from Rai University, Jharkhand. He is a kid who is focused on academics. Before becoming a writer, Amish worked as a banker for 14 years. In 2017, Amish launched his first non-fiction book, Immortal India, and in 2020, he launched his second non-fiction book, Decoding Epics to Create a Meaningful Life.Since 2010, some 5.5 million copies of his books have been sold in the Indian subcontinent

His brothers Anish Tripathi and Ashish Tripathi are the founders of Tzar Labs, which is promoted by the Tripathi family, which includes Ashish and Anish and their father late VK Tripathi. They claim to have invented a simple blood test that can detect cancer in its very early stages.

The Amish father was the late Vijay Kumar Tripathi, who passed away on July 6, 2021. His mother’s name is Usha Tripathi. His father is the chairman of Epigeneres Biotech Private Limited in Thane, Maharashtra. His father made many inventions in the fields of biotechnology and cancer diagnostics. Amish’s sister Bhavna Roy is the wife of late Himanshu Roy, an IPS officer who committed suicide after a long battle with cancer. Bhavna is a writer who also worked as a volunteer at a school for special children in Malegaon and later with an NGO in Nashik. Amish’s brother, Ashish Tripathi, is the CEO of Tzar Labs and a former investment banker. Anish Tripathi and Ashish Tripathi are Directors and Chief Operating Officers of Tzar Labs. Ashish Tripathi and Anish Tripathi are both co-founders of Tzar Labs, which detects cancer at its very early stages.

Amish Tripathi’s wife Preeti Vyas is the CEO of Amar Chitra Katha Private Limited, the publisher of the iconic Amar Chitra Katha comics. She is also the founder of FunOKPlease Publishing House, which creates contemporary Indian content for children. Amish and Preity separated in 2020.

Amish has worked in the financial services industry for 14 years with various organizations including Standard Chartered Bank, IDBI Bank and Development Bank of Singapore. His last assignment was with IDBI Federal Life Insurance Company as National Head of Marketing, Product Development and Service Quality and also a member of the Senior Management Committee.

Amish Tripathi has been writing books since 2004. His first book, The Immortality of Meluha, was published in 2010. It took him nearly 5 years to complete his first book. While writing the first two books, Amish continued to work as a banker. His first book, The Immortality of Meluha, was rejected by over 20 publishers, so he self-published it and his book became a bestseller. Amish Tripathi published his first non-fiction book, Immortal India, in August 2017. His books have been translated into 19 Indian and international languages.
In 2019, Amish was appointed Director of Foreign Affairs at the Nehru Center in London, India’s premier cultural center abroad.
