However, things changed for her when she landed a guest role in the 11th season of the British science fiction television show Doctor Who in 2018. In 2019, Amita got the opportunity to star in the second season of the American fantasy adventure drama television series The Outpost.
In 2020, she was invited to play the role of Inej Ghafa in the Netflix series Shadow and Bone (2021). The series is based on Leigh Bardugo’s fantasy novel series Grisha Trilogy and Six of Crows Part II. Other actors include Jessie Mei Li, Ben Barnes, Freddy Carter, etc.
