Amreen Shaikh was born into a humble family. Her father opened a restaurant, but it was not doing well. He lost all his money and was deeply in debt. Due to financial constraints, Amreen’s mother and grandmother would make samosas at home and Munawar would often sell them at a stall to make ends meet. Munawar also talked about the same in an interview and said:
My mother and grandmother would make samosas at home, and I set up a stall outside the house where I fried them and sold them. It’s a struggle. My fingers were burned and hot oil was splashed on me. But over time I became a professional and the business became successful. “

Amrin’s mother committed suicide in 2007 by taking acid. In 2020, her father died of paralysis.
