Amy Robach Says Raw Podcast Episode Led to Growth in Relationship with T.J. Holmes: ‘Saw Us in a Different Way’

Amy Robach and TJ Holmes are thriving as a couple.

In the latest episode of their The Amy and TJ Podcast released on Tuesday, Robach, 51, reflected on the moment they argued over relationship issues on the show’s January episode — and how she and Holmes, 46, have since gone through a “beautiful stretch” in their relationship.

“Once we had our fight, non-fight, whatever it was, and we got to listen to the thing five times, run it, see and hear the reaction to it…I really felt like I had a change,” Robach said. . “I saw myself in a different way. I saw you in a different way. I saw us in a different way and I felt purposeful in a way that I hadn’t before.”

Robach attributed the change to “goal setting” she and Holmes made together after their raw podcast episode, along with her own gauging “how I wanted to react to you, react to my emotions, check my ego, all that stuff.”

“And really, we had a really beautiful part,” she added.

“It’s good to recognize the good times,” Robach continued. “We all highlight the bad times, but if you could say, ‘Hey, we’re doing great.’ It’s good to be able to tell someone that.”

Speaking Tuesday, Robach and Holmes also shared how they recently celebrated Robach’s 51st birthday together in New York and New Orleans.

“We were there for three nights; we were in bed every night and I’d say we slept until 10:30,” Robach revealed. “The great thing about it, and this is again, I sound so old, is that we could continue to get up early and be out running at 6:00 am”
