AMY Schumer has broken her silence after sparking concern this week with her “puffy and puffy” face.
The clip quickly went viral after Amy, 42, appeared on Wednesday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Many fans were quick to comment on her changed appearance and asked “What’s wrong with Amy’s face?”.
The Trainwreck actress has now taken to Instagram to open up about her health battle with endometriosis – but said she still feels “strong and beautiful” amid her health issues.
She wrote on social networks: “Thank you everyone for the comments about my face.
“I have enjoyed feedback and thoughts about my appearance like all women for almost 20 years.
“And you’re right, he’s puffier than usual right now.”
The Hollywood star explained: “I have endometriosis, an autoimmune disease that every woman should read about.
“There are some medical and hormonal things going on in my world right now, but I’m fine.
“Historically, the female body has hardly been studied medically compared to the male body.
“The book ‘it’s all in her head’ explains it well. I also believe that a woman needs no excuse for her physical appearance and owes it no explanation.
“But I wanted to take the opportunity to advocate self-love and acceptance of the skin you’re in. Like any other woman/person, some days I feel confident and good as hell, and others I want to put a bag over my head.
“But I feel strong and beautiful and so proud of this TV show that I’ve created. Wrote, acted and directed. Maybe just maybe we can focus on that a little bit.
“I had backup dancers on Fallon but my face is the cover hahaha, anyway hope you’re enjoying life too Beth. Love and solidarity. Amy.”
Although Amy is known for her humor, she put it aside in September 2021 to get serious with fans about her battle with endometriosis.
Endometriosis is known as a disorder that affects the tissue in the uterus.
Instead of lining the uterus, those with endometriosis experience tissue growth outside the organ.
In 2021, she revealed that she had to have her uterus and appendix removed because of it.
Then she wrote on Instagram: “The doctor found 30 spots of endometriosis that he removed.
“He removed my appendix because it was attacked by endometriosis.
“There was a lot, a lot of blood in my uterus and I’m, you know, sore and having some, like, gas pains.”
Amy and her husband Chris Fischer have one child together, Gene, two, who was born through IVF.
After his birth in 2019, she opened up about the struggles she experienced during her pregnancy with endometriosis, revealing that a typical 90-minute C-section turned into a three-hour event.
The I Feel Pretty star told the Informed Pregnancy and Parenting Podcast about the “really scary” birth of her son: “I threw up during the first hour of the C-section,” she said.
“It should take about an hour and a half – it took me over three hours because of my endometriosis and it was really scary.”
Nearly a year later, Schumer spoke with Willie Geist on Sunday Today in August 2020 to discuss their second child, revealing that the couple “will be expecting now.”
“We did IVF, and IVF was very difficult for me,” Schumer said. “I don’t think I could ever do that [it] again.”
“I decided I could never be pregnant again,” she continued. “We’ve been thinking about a surrogate mother, but I think we’ll hold off for now.”
