Andra Day Wears an Oversize Taupe Suit to Perform ‘Lift Every Voice and Sing’ at 2024 Super Bowl

Andra Day was ready for her close-up at the 2024 Super Bowl.

Day, 39, was among the artists who performed before the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers faced off in Super Bowl LVIII at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Day sang “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” otherwise known as the black national anthem, wearing an oversized dark brown suit with black buttons and matching shoes, plus gold jewelry including Sister Love The Bella Hoops.

Day is the fourth artist to perform the song since it was added to the pre-match lineup in 2021. That year, Alicia Keys sang it in a recorded version before the game. In 2022, the song was performed by gospel duo Mary Mary, and in 2023 by Sheryl Lee Ralph.
