The first reviews for Ariane Madix and Katie Maloney’s sandwich shop are in!

On Friday, May 17, the still-unopened Los Angeles restaurant Something About Her had a few special guests, including Andy Cohen and the owner Vanderpump Rules costar Stassi Schroeder.

“When I’m in Los Angeles,” Cohen said in the video, motioning toward the store’s yellow-and-white-striped canopy sign. “Oh yeah, I’m going to get the sandwiches!”

Schroeder also showed off the sandwich shop’s kitschy-sweet exterior and shared her favorite sandwiches on the menu: “The Reese,” a chicken salad creation, and “The Drew,” a baguette topped with spicy-sweet toppings like apple, goat cheese, and jalapeño jam.

She also reviewed much of the menu, which includes multiple sandwiches seemingly named after powerful women, from “The Diane” and “The Kerry” to “The Nancy” and “The Meg.” The shop also offers a regular sandwich with peanut butter and jelly, as well as a grilled cheese sandwich.

Despite delays due to licensing issues, Madix and Maloney continued to update fans on the status of Something About Her on Vanderpump Rules since the first announcement of plans to open a store in 2022.

Earlier this year, in an official tour of the location on Bravo’s official YouTube page, Maloney called the diner’s aesthetic “California country and European cafe.”

Madix also previously discussed the inspirations behind the sandwich’s name with PEOPLE in May 2023.

“I think in the same sense that the name of the sandwich shop is something about her, I think sandwiches may or may not be named after really wonderful women,” she said at the time, “both wonderful women in the public eye and in our personal lives. ”
