Angelina Jolie Goes Full Glam in Draped Gown for Maria Red Carpet Premiere at Venice Film Festival

Angelina Jolie never misses.

The actress, 49, hit the red carpet at the 2024 Venice Film Festival for the premiere of her latest film on August 29 Mariawhere she plays the main character. In the biographical film, she plays opera singer Maria Callas.

Jolie wore a custom beige strapless Tamara Ralph dress with fur studs covering the sleeves (which added a touch of winter glam), romantic draping along the silhouette, and a ruffled skirt hem.

Her blonde hair was styled in a slight side parting, while her glamorous look was kept just as simple – save for a bold red lip that matched her nails and lifted the overall monochromatic, earth-toned ensemble.

Jolie landed in Venice on August 27. She was seen waving as she arrived, wearing a belted khaki coat over navy blue bottoms, dark sunglasses and black boots, with straight hair falling over her shoulders.

She resumed her tours on August 29, appearing on court in a low-back black dress that revealed her tattoos and a flowing brown chiffon dress that made her look like the goddess of Venice.

Directed by Pablo Larraín, Maria he is part of the competition line-up in Venice. The film also stars Kodi Smit-McPhee, Pierfrancesco Favino, Alba Rohrwacher and Haluk Bilginer.

In 2022, on the eve of filming, Jolie said of taking on the role: “I take the responsibility of Maria’s life and legacy very seriously. I will do my best to rise to the challenge. Pablo Larraín is a director I have long admired. get the chance to tell more about Maria talk to him, and with Steven Knight’s screenplay, it’s a dream.”
