Angelina Jolie and her daughter Vivienne have a permanent marker to remember the time they worked together.
The actress, 49, shared in a new interview with CR fashion book that she and her 16-year-old daughter Vivienne got the same tattoos during a special time working on a Broadway musical Outsiders.
“I got ‘Stay Gold’ with my daughter Viv when we were with Outsiders“, Jolie revealed. The phrase refers to the title of one of the original songs in the play, which Jolie co-produced with the help of Vivienne.
“It means so much to us individually and together,” she continued of the tattoo, which she debuted in April at the premiere of the Broadway play.
The tattoo is on the actress’ wrist among her other ink, though she didn’t indicate the location of Vivienne’s version of “Stay Gold.”

Jolie made a striking appearance in her first cover shoot and interview for CR fashion bookOctober issue as she discussed motherhood and her career and focused on her fashion label Atelier Jolie.
Her comments on her joint tattoo with daughter Vivienne come after she took on the role of one of the lead producers on Outsiders after being encouraged by theater lover Vivienne after the teenager saw the play, which is a musical adaptation of SE Hinton’s novel, at the La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego in 2023.
Meanwhile, Jolie also spoke with CR fashion book about another tattoo she and her children share.
“There is also a bird that I share with one of my children that is personal to us,” she said.
Although the actress did not specify which of her six children she shares bird ink with, she is the mother of Maddox (23) and Pax (20), daughters Zahara (19), Shiloh (18), as well as Vivienne and twin brother Knox with her ex-husband, Brad Pitt.

Jolie explained that the collective is focused on “respecting individuality and celebrating the spirit of personal expression.”
“I’ve always loved making and designing alongside the brilliant tailors, costume designers and pattern makers I’ve been privileged to meet throughout my career,” she continued.
“I wanted to build a collective with artists and designers who inspire me and create in a way that provokes overconsumption… There is only one rule for our guests in residence: they cannot create only for themselves. They must contribute to the community, trade, teach or entertain.”
