One Tree Hill Cast Opens Up About Where They Think Their Characters Would Be Now

The cast One Tree Hill has some predictions about where their characters might have ended up.

During a Q&A event celebrating the 21st anniversary of the CW series’ 2003 premiere, cast members including Lee Norris, Paul Johansson, James Lafferty and Bryan Greenberg talked about what they think their characters might be up to, two decades after series began — and whether they’ll be back for a series reunion. (The event was organized by Friends with Benefit Charity Events in Wilmington, NC, where the show was filmed.)

Johansson, who played Dan Scott – the sometimes evil father of Chad Michael Murray’s leading man Lucas Scott – joked that he was “done with Dan”.

“I moved on. But I had a lot of fun playing him and I was honored to be given such an interesting character,” Johansson, 60, said to laughter from the audience.

“But he’s gone and it’s best we leave him where he rests next to Wade,” he added to more joking “whistles” and “aws” from the audience — referring to Chuck Scolnik’s character’s abusive father.

“Where would he be today? Well, I would run for president – if you understand me,” Johansson finished.

As for Nathan Scott, Lucas Scott’s brother and Dan’s son, James Lafferty — who wore the No. 23 jersey at the event honoring his character’s time as a basketball player — said it would be “very interesting to know what Nathan is doing now .”

The cast is discussing a possible reboot just a day after actress Hilarie Burton Morgan revealed she was involved in the development of a potential new series.
