Angie Harmon’s 3 Kids: All About Finley, Avery and Emery

Angie Harmon has three daughters who grow up to be similar versions of themselves: Finley, Avery and Emery.

The Rizzoli & Isles the actress welcomed her children with her ex-husband, Jason Sehorn, before their split in 2014. Finley was born in October 2003, followed by her sister, Avery, who was born in June 2005. Angie welcomed her youngest daughter, Emery, in December 2008.

After her divorce from Sehorn, Angie raised her children as a single mother. Although she’s still on friendly terms with her ex, she told PEOPLE in December 2023 that it was hard to do it alone.

“When it’s just you, there’s a different kind of survival skill set that takes over, you pay more attention to things that you wouldn’t normally,” Angie said. “You’re more aware of things you wouldn’t be.”

“You learn to be independent in a different way,” she continued. “There’s a toughness that comes with someone who constantly has to travel alone and protect three girls.”

From finding a pet squirrel to features in their mother’s work, here’s everything you need to know about Angie Harmon’s three children.

Angie and Sehorn welcomed their first daughter, Finley Faith Sehorn, on October 14, 2003, in Dallas. Finley and her family later moved outside of Charlotte, North Carolina, though that didn’t stop her from attending some fancy industry events with her mom.

In May 2022, Finley accompanied her mother to DiversityPower of Women event in New York where the two walked the red carpet together. Just one month later, she graduated from Charlotte Christian School.

“HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to this awesome star…YOU DID IT FINLEY!!” Angie wrote in an Instagram post announcing her graduation. “We are all extremely proud of you and everything you have done and grown into!! I love you more than anything and everything!!!”

Finley started college the following August and, a year later, moved into her first apartment in Dallas—which made Angie marvel at how quickly time went by.

“I mean, Finley is 20 years old and I’m like, ‘What?’ ,” she told PEOPLE. “She can’t believe it. I can’t believe it. So I tell people my teenage daughters are 10 years old, and now I have this 20-year-old…”

Finley has also followed in her mom’s footsteps in their shared passion for animals — Angie began caring for a squirrel in October 2023 — and often advocates for the family’s pet dogs.

Angie told PEOPLE that her daughters, especially Finley, watch episodes of their mom’s hit TV shows to calm the family’s three rescue dogs when they’re home alone.

“When we have to leave the house, my daughters will be involved Rizzoli & Isles so the dogs think I’m still in the house,” she said. “Finley does it all the time. My oldest would say, ‘Well, Mom, I just felt sorry for them. So I just joined Rizzoli & Isles, and everyone just fell asleep in the living room.’ ”

Angie and Sehorn’s second daughter, Avery Grace, was born on June 22, 2005. When she was just 10 years old, Avery had the opportunity to be a guest on her mom’s show, Rizzoli & Isles.

“Learning the lines with Avery, rehearsing with her, and finally filming the episode made me blissfully happy,” Angie told PEOPLE in 2015. “It was not only a dream for me, but more importantly, a dream come true for her. ”

Angie added that while she was thrilled to have her daughter on set with her, it could also be distracting as she couldn’t break character.

“It was also a new experience because I had to stay in character, but still I couldn’t help but look at her and feel proud and happy for her as my mom,” she said. “Watching the joy she felt while working, her incredible ability and natural talent is something I will never forget!”

In September 2023, Avery entered her senior year of high school at Charlotte Christian School, and her mom was soaking up every moment before she too left the nest.

“How are you SENIOR? HOW?? WHEN?? So… I only have 8 months, 38 weeks, 265 days, 6,347 minutes and 381,740 seconds before you are released into the world??” Angie wrote on Instagram as Avery entered her senior year of high school. “NOT ACCEPTING! 😭😭😭😭 Congratulations on your success so far, Ave! You are an AMAZING woman/unicorn and I will cherish EVERY LAST MOMENT with YOU!”

Like his father, who is a former NFL player, Avery seems to have a penchant for sports, playing lacrosse and volleyball for his school team.

Emery Hope, Angie and Sehorn’s youngest daughter, was born on December 18, 2008. Ahead of Emery’s 2nd birthday in 2010, Angie shared with PEOPLE how excited her older sisters were about the new addition to the family.

“They are really good older sisters. Finley has been a big sister for almost six years now,” she said. “Avery is also a great big sister, and Emery has learned how to use that to her advantage when she wants to!”

Thirteen years later, Emery started high school, causing Angie to lament how fast her girls were growing up.

“How? HOW is my little girl a FRESHMAN? Wasn’t she born the day before yesterday?” she wrote on Instagram in August 2023. “What kind of evil time travel shenanigans are these?? Congratulations beautiful girl and we love you so much!!”

In November 2023, after Angie made headlines for adopting a baby squirrel, she revealed that it was her youngest daughter who had originally found the creature, which they named Thomas.

“So my youngest daughter found it on the sidewalk, and there was no tree to put it on,” she told PEOPLE.

She said she told Emery to “go find the nearest tree, put them under it” until the squirrel’s mother came back, but the mother squirrel never did.

“So I said, ‘Okay, I’ll come get him,'” Angie said. “And then I’ve had it ever since.”
