Anil Devgan is an Indian film director. He is famous for being the younger brother of famous Indian actor Ajay Devgn.

He was born into a Brahmin family in Saraswat, Punjab. His father is Veeru Devgan, an experienced stunt choreographer and action film director. His mother Veena Devgan is a film producer. His elder brother is the famous Indian actor Ajay Devgn, and Anil is Kajol’s brother-in-law. He has two sisters- Neelam Devgan and Kavita Devgan. Anil is married and has a son named Mir Devgan.
Profession
After graduation, his brother Ajay Devgn encouraged him to pursue a career in Bollywood. He started his career in 1996 as an assistant director in the Hindi film Jeet. He later worked as an assistant director in several Bollywood films, including “Jaan” (1996), “Itihaas” (1997), “Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha” (1998) and “Hindustan Ki Kasam” (1999). He directed the Hindi films “Raju Chacha” (2000), “Blackmail” (2005) and “Haal-e-dil” (2008). In 2012, he served as creative director on the Hindi film Son of Sardaar, his last film starring alongside his brother Ajay Devgn. He loved music and was trained as a tabla player. He is also trained in martial arts forms.

He breathed his last on October 5, 2020, and died of cardiac arrest. Ajay Devgn took to Twitter to share the news of Anil Devgan’s sudden death.
