Ratan Lal Basu

Dr. Ratan Lal Basu is an Indian novelist and economist. In many economic books and articles written by him, the main ideas are based on ancient Indian economy, especially the Indian epics Ramayana and Mahabharata, Dharmashastra, Kautilya Dharmashastra ” and its relevance to the modern world. He writes in English and Bengali. He has also written various books and articles on topics such as yoga and tantric worship.

Dr. Ratan Lal Basu was born on Thursday, December 23, 1948 (age 74; as of 2023) in a village called Belakoba in the Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal, India. His zodiac sign is Capricorn. He passed his high school examination from Belakoba High School, 17 km from Jalpaiguri town. Dr. Ratan Lal Basu received his MA in Economics from Presidency College, Kolkata. He received his PhD in Economics (Kautilya’s Arthashastra). He was a prolific writer of fiction, Indology, and ancient history.
