Aniyan Midhun is an Indian martial arts athlete best known for being the first South Indian to represent India in an international martial arts competition. In 2023, he gained attention when he appeared as a contestant on the reality show Bigg Boss (Season 5 in Malayalam) on Asianet Channel.

Aniyan Midhun was born on Thursday 18 June 1992 in Natika, Kerala (2023) as Midhun Mohan (31; as of 2023). His zodiac sign is Gemini. His hometown is Thrissur, Kerala. He attended Bharath Vidya Mandir English School in Vallapd, Kerala and VPMSNDP High School in Karimbram, Kerala. He did his BSc in Multimedia at ICAT College of Design and Media, Bangalore. He was born into a family that made a living by fishing. His family also used to grow rice and bananas. He said in an interview that as a child, he spent most of his time on the beach, which gave him a love for the sea. He was interested in sports from a young age, so when he was in fifth grade, he started karate coaching in his hometown. In school, he only learned the basics of the game for a while, but when his love for the game grew, he and his friends decided to practice after school. They used to train on the beach, which helped him to have good physical strength. He started training in karate, then taekwondo, and later, in seventh grade, he decided to study martial arts. He holds black belts in karate and taekwondo. He said in an interview that his training costs were high, so he used to farm, fish and sell bananas with his family to earn money. He used to go to college and went to training after helping his family.

On March 31, 2021, he made his debut in the 70kg category of the South Asian Wushu Championships in Nepal and won the gold medal.
In 2022, he became the Wushu Sanda World Champion and won the gold medal in the World Professional Wushu Sanda Competition held in Thailand.
In 2017, he joined the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Board and the Jammu and Kashmir Wushu Association and started playing martial arts for them. He has played for other associations including Kerala State Sports Board and Sports Authority of India.

- In 2010, after graduation, he realized he wanted to study martial arts professionally, so he moved to Kashmir to train. He started training under Arjuna Laureate Kuldeep Kumar Handoo. In an interview, he spoke about the training of his staff, saying:
I go to Kashmir almost every year to practice with Hundu. I usually stay there for a long time, and then I have the opportunity to improve my endurance, fitness, speed and strength through training on the mountain. Martial arts is a game similar to taekwondo, martial arts, boxing and all other games. So, I need to develop all these ingredients. “
- He said in an interview that he was the first person in the village to choose martial arts and learn it professionally. He further added that not many people knew about the sport at the time, so when he was called up for the Indian team, everyone in the village would ask what martial arts is. In the interview, he further added that when he started playing, there weren’t many opportunities for eclectic combat sports.
- He plays for KAKO (Karanadu Taekwondo Organization Association). In 2015, he became the Taekwondo National Champion of the Taekwondo Association of India.
- He said in an interview that when practicing, there are many things that are easier for him in the city than in the countryside, because there is no equipment in the village, so he works very hard. In an interview, he gave an example and said that he found it easy to run on a treadmill because he used to train on the sand in the village, which was many times harder than running on a machine.

Sana becomes obsessed with him and proposes to him. She even gave him her favorite guitar. Initially, he rejected her offer. He then went on an all-India tour to her home in Punjab. They became friends and started spending time together. He further said,
We went to her home in Punjab and we did a pan-India tour. The relationship grew stronger and she proposed to me again. Even then, I didn’t promise her. But, the next day, I rushed to her camp and apologized. The scene I saw was her standing in front of a table with new weapons, guns, etc. She is getting ready for a mission and bids farewell. I told all my friends that I was going to propose to her. I even bought a ring. Days passed before I learned that she had been killed. She was hit by a bullet in the forehead and no longer exists. I’m so sad that I shouldn’t have expressed my love to her. However, I am proud that she sacrificed her life for our country. As I write this, I recall the moment I embraced her body, draped in the Indian flag. “
