Profession

In 2014, she started working as a hotel employee at RE Hospitality in London, England. After returning to India, she started working as a model in Bangalore. She then moved to Mumbai and started working as an assistant director. Later, she auditioned for a television commercial and was selected. In an interview, when talking about her first TV commercial, she said:

I was working as an assistant director in a music studio in Mumbai. I was hanging out with a friend after get off work; she was on her way to an audition. She asked me if I would be interested in tagging along. I thought, why not? After a tiring day at work, I was completely exhausted. My hair was a mess; I had no makeup on. Everyone around me was tall, with long, straight hair and heavy makeup on their faces. This is really scary. “

She added,

I was sure I wouldn’t succeed. Miraculously, the casting team picked me. That’s how I did my first commercial for Vivo (with Ranveer Singh), completely by accident. Then casting directors and agencies started contacting me. Four years later, I’m still doing it. “

She has appeared in various television commercials for La Shield, Sofy, Whisper and Tinder.

Anjali has also modeled in print advertisements for popular Indian fashion designers such as Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Masaba Gupta.

On July 2, 2013, Anjali and her mother founded a software company called Darkhorse Productions Private Limited in Bangalore. In 2017, she made her acting debut in the Hindi short film “Jenny”, in which she played the eponymous character.

Anjali is a professionally trained singer. In an interview, when asked how she developed an interest in singing, she said:
Music is in my blood. My mother is a singer. All of our family activities would involve everyone getting together and singing – that’s the idea of our connection. At school, I was a member of the choir. There is music all around me. I did have this rebellious phase where I quit singing lessons without telling my mom. Many years later, I realized the importance of formal training, so I started over again. “

She is an avid animal lover and owns several pet cats and dogs. In 2013, she volunteered at the cat show of the International Cat Club Association “World Cat Federation”.
