Ankit Panth is an Indian esports player and YouTuber known for his professional gaming skills. He is considered one of the most popular Counter-Strike gaming professionals in India.

Ankit Panth (aka Ankit V3nom Panth) was born on Wednesday, 26 July 1989 in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh (age 33; as of 2022). After Ankit completed his education, his parents insisted that he get a degree in aerospace engineering and then pursue an MBA, but he was not interested. He convinced his parents and earned different degrees before becoming a professional gamer.

Profession

When Ankit was 15, he went to a gaming cafe called Boomerang in Kandivali, Mumbai. He saw people enthusiastically playing the video game Counter-Strike 1.6 and was fascinated by them. After playing Counter-Strike for a while, he decided to pursue gaming as a career. Later, he started playing “Counter-Strike GO” professionally and established multiple game teams. He formed his first gaming team and named it Warriors of Chaos (WOC), through which he began to make money. In 2006, he formed a semi-professional team called Made in Mumbai (MiM). Ankit met Aakash ‘RiX’ More, a popular video gamer, while playing games in a cafe. Ankit then got a chance to come on as a substitute for the Akash team, which was India’s top three team at the time.

Founder of eSports team

In 2008, Ankit and Aakash “RiX” More formed a player-owned team, Brutality, an Indian professional esports team. They won their first major Counter-Strike 1.6 tournament, which was also Ankit’s first tournament win. Ankit is the founder and director of operations of Brutality. The team has won multiple (semi-)professional championships, while being equally popular in single-player games such as the Tekken, Street Fighter, Need for Speed, Forza and Trackmania series. . Brutality has represented their team in national and international level competitions and has won multiple events including ESL Cup Season 4 (Online) 2014, Lenovo India Games Week Mumbai 2015 (Lanzhou) and Tranzeneca Lan 2016 Pune Party Championship (Lanzhou).

HyperX – Brand Ambassador

In 2022, gaming peripherals company HyperX signed Ankit Panth as its first Indian brand ambassador. In this regard, HyperX stated,

American technology company Dell started sponsoring Ankit and his team after noticing their skills in gaming. They enabled Team Brutality to take its esports capabilities to the next level using Dell’s powerful gaming systems to compete in more esports events. He is known in the gaming community as #IntelsUltimateV3nom. According to Ankit, he got a break when he appeared on an esports tournament called “U Cypher with MTV” aired on MTV. Although his team lost in Tekken, they made a comeback by winning Real Cricket 17, CSGO, and DOTA 2.

Later, he was signed as a brand ambassador by Alienware and Intel India. In addition to playing Counter-Strike professionally, Ankit also plays GTA V, The Witcher 3, and FIFA (the video game series). Ankit joined the new team in August 2021 and became part of the M42 Esports roster.
