Ankur Ratti is an Indian-American actor and dancer. He is best known for his role as “Karan Sandhu” in the Bollywood film Thappad.

Ankur attended Bishop’s School in Pune. At the age of 8, Ankur began learning different dance styles including Bollywood, hip-hop, contemporary, jazz and acrobatic dance. He then started performing in musicals and developed an interest in singing and acting.

After completing his studies, Ankur enrolled at the University of Southern California to pursue a course in Cinematography and Film Production. Afterwards, he attended Princeton University, where he studied under theatre artists such as John Landau, Leigh Silverman and Christina Lazaridi. In 2015, Ankur moved to New York City to become a dance teacher at Footsteps on Broadway. As a part of the troupe, Ankur performed in some of the notable productions including Jade Emperor, Journey to the West, Between the Tigris and Euphrates and My Heart is in the East.
