Annapurna also alleged that Nandita and the show’s directors often mocked her South Indian origins. She also accused actress Kishori Ambiye of making derogatory remarks and was quoted as saying:
Nandita Patekar and I shared a room on the sets and later Kishori joined us. Kishori walked into the room for the first time, looked at me and said, “Is this room for junior artists in your room ko bhi diya hai kya?” (Is this room also allocated for junior artists?)”
