Known by his stage name Lawyer Akoto Ampaw, he has reportedly been dealing with health problems since early 2023. Ampaw has been a prominent figure in Ghana’s legal community, with a career that has spanned several high-profile cases. During the 2016 election petition, he was the leader of the legal team representing President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo; the case turned out well for them in the end. His legal experience played a significant role in the 2013 election petition.
Not only was Ampaw a well-known lawyer, she was also considered for the role of Special Prosecutor after the President approved the draft law on the Office of the Special Prosecutor.
