Anubhav Sinha is an Indian film director, writer and film producer. His best known works include Tum Bin (2001), Dus (2005), Ra.One (2011), Mulk (2018) and Article 15 (2019).

Anubhav Sinha was born on Tuesday, June 22, 1965, in Allahabad (now Prayagraj), Uttar Pradesh, India (58 years old; as of 2023). His zodiac sign is Cancer. His full name is Anubhav Sushila Sinha. He was educated at Government International University School, Kalagarh and Allahabad, Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University in 1988. Sinha then worked in Delhi for two years before moving to Mumbai in 1990.

Anubhav Sinha worked as an assistant director with Indian film director Pankaj Parashar until 1993, before making his directorial debut in the acclaimed Indian TV series Shikast. Aired on Doordarshan TV. The show features some of Bollywood’s most famous faces, including Manoj Bajpai and the legendary Shammi Kapoor, who plays the lead role in the show.
After directing “Shikast”, Anubhav directed another TV show “Sea Eagle” for UTV, which aired on Doordarshan in 1997. After directing 76 episodes of Seahawks, Anubhav Sinha turned to directing music videos, which he continued until 2000. “Deewana” and “Jaan” are two of his music videos that are widely loved by the public.
He directed his first Bollywood film, Tum Bin (2001), starring Priyanshu Chatterjee, Himanshu Malik, Amrita Prakash, Raqesh Vashisth and Sandali Sinha. The film is considered one of his most successful films to date, as it not only clashed with the 2001 Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Aks, but even overpowered it.
His third film, Dus, became the eighth highest-grossing film of 2005. His other notable works include Tathastu (2006), Cash (2007), Ra. 1 (2011) and Tum Bin 2 (2016). After Mulk (2018); starring Rishi Kapoor and Taapsee Pannu, he pioneered a new genre of filmmaking depicting social issues prevalent in society. He continues to make films with socially awakened elements such as Article 15 (2019) and Thappad (2020).

Soon after the release of his 2007 film Dus opposite Shilpa Shetty, there were multiple rumors that Anubhav and Shilpa Shetty were secretly dating, which was believed to have seriously disturbed his relationship with his wife Ratana Sinha Relationships. According to reports, Anubhav was away from his family for a brief period during this period. Later, both Anubhav and Shilpa Shetty denied the reports of dating each other. After that, they did not appear together again in any future projects.

- He was born in a middle-class family in Allahabad. Talking about his upbringing in Allahabad and Varanasi, he said:
I am a small town boy – my father retired in 1991 with a salary of Rs 12,000 – and I was swayed by the glamor, glitz and paraphernalia of filmmaking. “
- He enjoys cooking in his spare time and considers himself an excellent cook.
- After the release of Article 15 of the Indian Constitution, Anubhav Sinha said in an interview that he reads an article from the Indian Constitution whenever he has time. He said,
I always have a PDF tab on my Firefox and I open it and read it whenever possible. I’ve been doing this for the past 8 months. “

- On the filmmaking front, Anubhav Sinha completed the shooting of the film in just a short time. He completed Tum Bin in just 27 days, Mulk in 32 days, and Thappad in 31 days.
- In November 2020, he revealed on Twitter that his first salary was Rs. 80 which he received at the age of 18 when, as an engineering student, he tutored a Grade 7 student to earn money for smoking.
