Anurag Kashyap is a famous Indian film producer. He is the recipient of several National Awards and Filmfare Awards. In 1995, he met a man named Pankaj Titoria by chance. Pankaj Titoria introduced him to film director and editor Shivam Nair. Kashyap watched Taxi Driver at Shivam Nair’s house and was mesmerized by the film. In 1997, he wrote the script for Hansal Mehta’s first film Jayate, which failed to be released in theaters. In 1998, actor Manoj Bajpayee proposed a film to director Ram Gopal Verma.

Payal Ghosh filed an FIR against Anurag on September 23 at Versova police station in Mumbai. In the FIR, she alleged that Mr. Kashyap raped her in 2013 at a place on Yari Road in Versova. In August 2023, she discussed the matter and stated that she was dealing with Kashyap’s influence in the industry on her own, noting that few people would do so.
