Cancel your AOL payment plan:
A paid plan can be canceled or converted to a free plan at any time, as it is only a matter of a few steps. So, to cancel the paid plan and switch to the free plan, you need to follow the steps below.
- Go to MyAccount.aol.com.
- Log in with your username and password”.
- Click on “My Services”.
- Click on “Subscriptions”.
- Open the “Management” written next to your plan.
- Verify your account if necessary
- Click “Cancel” and then “Cancel MY Billing.”
- Please select the reason for cancellation from the dropdown menu.
- Click “Cancel My Billing”.
Important things to consider:
- You cannot assume that you will cancel your plan or switch to free between billing periods and that the company will refund your balance, but rather that you complete the entire billing cycle and then cancel or change your subscription.
- Billing will continue separately even if you have an active premium subscription.
- AOL has the right to collect any fees or overage charges from you before you cancel.
How to cancel a Premium subscription:
AOL’s premium subscription options offer you an extra layer of protection. It is the best way to keep your computer safe and secure. But if you are not satisfied and want to cancel your premium subscription, please follow the steps below:
- First, sign in to your AOL account.
- Then scroll down and open the “My Account” option.
- Click on “My services” and then on “Subscription”.
- “Manage” tab, then select the plan you want to cancel.
- Click “Cancel Payment”.
- Select cancel to deactivate.
- Click “Unlink” at the bottom of the page.
How to cancel the account of a deceased person?
Upon the unfortunate death of a person, ownership may be transferred to another closely related user account. Or you can contact AOL’s support team by calling 1-800-827-6364 and speak to a representative.
How do I change my AOL account plan?
If you want to change your higher paying AOL plan to a lower plan, try the following:
- First, sign in with your username and password.
- Then type MyAccount.aol.com in your web browser.
- Open “My Services”.
- Then Subscription to open the account information.
- Click manage, then change the plan (next to the account you want to change).
- Tap “Change Plan.”
- On the confirmation page, change your subscription to a lower-priced option instead of simply canceling your account.
Note: In case you want to cancel your AOL plan, click Cancel my billing by choosing a reason and you will become a free AOL user. Now you won’t be charged for using AOL.
