AP schools are closed tomorrow, December 5, 2023
AP Schools closed: The Andhra Pradesh state government has announced school holidays in NTR and Krisha districts. According to local reports, the holiday has been announced for tomorrow, December 5, 2023, due to Cyclone Michaung. The announcement was made by NTR District Collector S Dilli Rao.
According to the press release, educational institutions will remain closed tomorrow, and scheduled exams have been postponed. According to reports, the DEO has announced that the SA 1 exams scheduled for tomorrow have been postponed and in view of the meteorological department’s warnings of widespread rain due to Cyclone Michaung, the district will be closed for two days. School and college authorities have been advised not to hold classes.
The District Collector further stated that schools will have to make up these holidays by using the second Saturday in case of shortfall of 220 working academic days. The state government has also asked the coastal districts to be on alert.
The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted a cyclonic storm in South Andhra Pradesh and adjoining coastal North Tamil Nadu between Chennai and Machilipatanam in AP on the evening of December 4, 2023.
Closed schools in Tamil Nadu
Schools in Tamil Nadu’s Kalaiselvi, Kanchipuram, Chennai, Chengalpet and Thiruvallor districts will remain closed tomorrow due to heavy rain and floods. Schools in Puducherry and Karaikal regions are closed today.
Schools in Chennai and other districts are closed today, 4th December 2023. Notifications regarding the same have been released on 2nd December 2023 for educational institutions in Kalaiselvi, Kanchipuram, Chennai, Chengalpet and Thiruvallore districts
