Aparna Krishnan was born in 1990 in Kochi, Kerala (29 years old; as of 2019). She attended Naval Public School, Cochin and Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Cochin. She later moved to Canada to attend Pearson College UWC and completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma. She received a scholarship to UWC, Pearson College. Later, she joined the London School of Economics and Political Science in the United Kingdom. She graduated from Dartmouth College in the United States with a major in economics.

She was born into a South Indian family. Her father KR Krishnan is a retired Indian Navy officer. Her mother Savithri Krishnan is a retired employee of SBI. Aparna has a sister, Prasanna Krishnan, who is married to Wharton technology professor Kartik Hosanagar.

Aparna met Rohan through a mutual friend. The couple tied the knot on December 2, 2019, after dating for nearly three years. Rohan was previously married to Lakshmi Venu (daughter of TVS Motors chairman). Aparna and Rohan got married in a traditional South Indian wedding. The wedding took place at ITC Gardenia, Bengaluru; Infosys co-founders Nandan Nilekani, Kris Gopalakrishnan, SD Shibulal and K Dinesh were present. Some of the other famous guests at the wedding included Vallabh Bhanshali, Ashank Desai, Manjul Bhargava and Prakash Padukone. Popular Carnatic singer Bombay Jayashree graced the wedding with her magical performance.

Profession
While in college, she worked as a summer analyst at Goldman Sachs and ROC Capital Management. In 2012, after graduation, she joined McKinsey & Company in Bangalore as a business analyst. She joined Sequoia Capital in 2014 as an investment analyst. She then served as Assistant Vice President at Craftsvilla in Mumbai for almost a year. She then joined Soroco India Private Limited Bengaluru as a Project Manager. Soroco India Private Limited was founded in 2004 by NR Narayana Murthy.
