Intern production
The eighteenth season of the popular TV series The Apprentice was announced in January 2023, while the previous season was still running. People were invited to apply for the new season, and the deadline for applications was January 29, 2023. However, the start of the new season was delayed until February 2024, because in January 2024 another series called Traitors started. It was different from the usual schedule. A short preview of the new season was shown on January 17, 2024.
Before the start of the new season, Lord Sugar, the show’s host, said in an interview with The Times that he planned to make changes to the penultimate episode, known as the “interview” episode. This was because the interviews in the previous season caused controversy for being difficult to watch, even for Lord Sugar himself. He wanted to make the episode more balanced and fair for the candidates.
Karren Brady, Lord Sugar’s sidekick on the show, defended the interview portion of the show saying she didn’t want to upset the candidates. However, she emphasized that the ability to solve difficult situations is important for successful business. These changes show that the production team of The Apprentice is trying to solve the problems and create a more stimulating and positive environment for the candidates in the new season.
