Alice Levine, best known for her podcast My Dad Wrote a Porno, previously shared a house with musical partner Edward Ibbotson. They dated in the early 2010s and many people assumed he was her husband.
Despite the fact that they always kept their relationship a secret, their time together was widely publicized at that time. However, they don’t make much headlines anymore. Is it true that they are still together? Is the couple still together or have they broken up?
Alice Levine calls her partner her other half
It’s unclear when Levine and Ibbotson started dating, but it seems they got serious around 2014. In an article for The Telegraph in October of that year, Levine revealed some intimate details about their relationship. her relationship with him, calling him her “other half”.
She was living in Hackney, East London, at the time of her writing. On weekends, she goes out to dinner with her partner. When they decide to stay home, she enjoys cooking for him. However, he was not allowed in the kitchen.
When they’re at home, Levine makes time to cook, but he’s not allowed to cook. This is because if he cooks, it becomes a “bus holiday” for him.
Ibbotson works as a chef at The Convenience, a local restaurant on Chatsworth Road. In the evening, he works as the chef of a coffee shop. In his reporting, the presenter also calls his partner a “control freak”, which is why he is not allowed in the kitchen.
Similarly, in another interview at the time, she referred to Ibbotson as her “other half”. In an interview with the Daily Mail in August 2015, Levine called the small apartment she shares with him her “home”.
She also gave Ibbotson romantic gifts when asked what was the most romantic thing she’d done; she confided about secretly buying a digital piano for her partner for his 30th birthday.
She left the gift at their house as a surprise for him when he got home. Levine has not revealed anything more about the relationship beyond these.

Are Ed Ibbotson and Alice Levine still together?
Ed Ibbotson and Alice Levine seem to have a strong relationship, based on what she revealed. However, they did not stay together for long.
At the time, they were no longer together, according to a May 2019 article about her in The Times. Furthermore, the article states that they ended their relationship in 2017 and their love life has been virtually unknown since then.
In Levine’s case, the secrecy was intentional. She revealed to I News in June 2021 that she kept her private life private because she didn’t want it to become the subject of public discussion.
“I’ve always had an aversion to fame,” The Circle co-host Maya Jama told the publication. “I was completely overwhelmed by the thought of it.”
“You think you want to know, but you’ll be really disappointed; there’s not much to know,” she said when asked about her relationships.
The self-proclaimed introvert then expressed gratitude for being able to keep his personal life private, despite having a job that requires little public appearances.
“You wouldn’t want the things you say to your partner at the desk,” she jokes. It’s safe to say that we won’t know the status of her relationship any time soon unless she reveals it.
