Ariana Grande has a serious request for her fans in the midst of album release week.
On Saturday, a day after dropping her seventh studio album, Grande, 30, asked her followers to stop sending “hateful messages” to “the people in my life” in a message posted to her Instagram Story.
“Hi, I just wanted to say that anyone sending hateful messages to the people in my life based on your interpretation of this album is not supporting me and doing the absolute opposite of what I would ever encourage (and also completely misinterpreting) the intent behind the music), she wrote.

“Please don’t,” she continued. “It’s no way to support me. Quite the opposite. While this album captures many painful moments, it’s also woven through a line of deep, heartfelt love. If you can’t hear that, please listen more carefully. Thank you.”
On Friday, “Yes, and?” the singer released her album Eternal sunshinewhich features songs about her divorce from ex-husband Dalton Gomez, which was settled in October 2023. Grande began dating her current boyfriend and Wicked actress Ethan Slater before her divorce was finalized.

In a recent interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music, Grande said that recording the album was “really healing” for her.
“More than ever before in my life, I was able to be much more present and enjoy him and enjoy him in a way that I don’t think I could before,” she said.
