Ariana Grande is celebrating a year as a blonde!
The singer, 30, marked the anniversary with a post on her Instagram Story on Friday, sharing a behind-the-scenes look at her October 2022 hair transformation.
“Happy [one] year blondieversary,” Grande wrote over a mid-bleach mirror selfie with foil in her hair.
The “Positions” singer also graced the post with a few blonde emojis in her ponytail.

Elsewhere in the post, Grande tagged Francesca De Chiara, the London-based colorist who first lightened her hair last fall. He could be seen in the picture applying bleach to her then brunette locks.
The “Side to Side” singer also shared another pre-blonde throwback photo, a selfie from October 21, 2022, captioning it: “Before @frankhaircolour.”
Grande debuted her hair transformation in an Instagram post last year. Alongside a selfie to the side – in which she sported her new blonde curls – the actress cheekily wrote “new earrings”.

From her Victorious Featuring cherry-red locks in her signature high pony, Grande’s hair has always been the pinnacle of the musician’s look. And while her 2022 color change wasn’t the first time she went blonde (check out her 2018 platinum era), it was a significant change.

Director Jon M. Chu first announced that Grande would step into the character’s iconic shoes in November 2021. She is set to star in the film adaptation of the Tony-winning Broadway musical alongside Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba.

The “7 Rings” singer has since been seen rocking her blue ribbons on Wicked staged in Buckingham, England, several times, both solo in full Glinda attire, and with colleagues such as friend Jonathan Bailey.
The musician has also been seen at Wimbledon with Bailey, 35, while shopping in London with Eriva, 36, and recently while watching a performance of a Broadway musical & Julietwhich features two of her songs: “Problem” and “Break Free”.

Wickedwhich was “just days away from completion” before the SAG-AFTRA strike began in July, is currently on hiatus, and Grande has previously said she won’t be working on new music until her time as the blonde witch is over.
In a video shared on rem beauty’s YouTube channel in May 2022, the pop star answered fans’ questions, including a follow-up to her 2020 album. Positions.
“I’m nervous to answer this question, but I feel like I want to have some transparency and honesty with my fans,” Grande said in response to a fan query about her next album. “It’s true that I didn’t start the album.”

She continued, “I hear through the grapevine that you have a lot of theories and expectations in that department. But after Positions, [I] I wasn’t ready to start a new album yet, so I didn’t start a new album.”
Grande went on to say that playing Glinda — which she called “the most incredible gift of my entire life” — “will have every bit of me, every minute, every bit of my heart, my time, my soul, my everything that I have to give.”
“I spend all my time with Glinda,” she added.
