Things are getting very real for Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater.
A source tells PEOPLE that things are “serious” between the “7 Rings” singer, 30, and Spamalot actor, 31, who have been confirmed to have been in a relationship since July.
“Ariana is serious with Ethan,” they said. “She loves being with him.”
The insider added that while the couple “do go out occasionally” while Grande puts the finishing touches on her upcoming album, they “mostly enjoy staying in. It’s a very normal relationship.”

On Saturday, the pair were pictured together in one of their first outings together.
The singer and Broadway star were photographed on a night out in New York when a source close to Grande told PEOPLE they dined with her father Ed Buter at her family’s favorite Italian restaurant before seeing Slater at Spamalot.
Grande wore an all black outfit with a fur hat, a mini skirt and a black top with fur cuffs. Meanwhile, Slater opted for a more athletic outfit with a zip-up, joggers and running shoes.
They like to support each other in their work, the source said. – When she’s done with work, Ariana likes to go to the theater when she can.
Grande shared a carousel of photos on Instagram earlier this month, showing one image with a spam can ornament hanging from a wall-mounted Christmas tree made from green garland.

The ornament is, of course, exclamation Spamalot2005 Tony Award-winning musical adaptation Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Slater is currently starring in a Broadway revival of the comedy.
Grande visibly supported her beau several times in St. James Theater in New York since rehearsals began in October. She was seen cheering him on during the show’s first Halloween premiere and attended the musical’s opening night on Broadway on November 15.
The couple first met on the set of the upcoming film adaptation Wicked and developed an off-screen romance.
People first confirmed Grande and Slater’s relationship in July, and it began after her split from husband Dalton Gomez and Slater’s split from wife Lilly Jay. Grande and Gomez, 28, divorced in October after two years of marriage.
