Ariana Grande Shares Sweet Photo of Her and Ethan Slater to Celebrate a 'Year Full of Art and Heart' 

Ariana Grande ended 2024 with one last look at her and boyfriend Ethan Slater.

On Tuesday, Dec. 31, Grande, 31, shared 20 photos from the past 12 months on Instagram as she recapped her year. The photo carousel showed him posing with Wicked cast members, performing and acting with costar Cynthia Erivo, posing for photos with her brother Frankie Grande, his husband Hale Leon and their mother Joan. The 17th image in Ariana’s post shows a cute blurry photo of her and Slater, 32, smiling for the camera as Jeff Goldblum takes a selfie in focus in the foreground.

“a year full of art and heart 𖦹 ｡˚ฺ ｡˚·ꕤ.ﾟ!” – wrote Ariana in the description of her photos. “Thank you forever for your love and support, words really aren’t enough. I love you always and I wish you all a happy new year!”

The pop star and Slater met when they started filming Wicked together at the end of 2022; Broadway veteran Slater portrays University student Shiz Boq in the film, while Ariana plays the good witch Glinda in the movie musical. PEOPLE first confirmed their relationship in July 2023 after Ariana and Slater split from their then-partners Dalton Gomez and Lilly Jay.

Although Ariana and Slater have remained tight-lipped about making public appearances together for most of 2024, they have been dating throughout the year. Wickedpress tour ahead of the film’s November release and continue to support each other on Instagram.

On December 18, Ariana complimented Slater as “the Buster Keaton of today!” in a Dec. 18 comment on one of Slater’s Instagram posts, in reference to the legendary 1920s silent film comedian.

“He’s always wonderful and he’s so amazing in this movie, he’s such an amazing person,” she said of Slater during a November interview with Party tonight. “I’m so happy that people are getting to know him. My heart is very happy.”

Ariana’s 2024 finish on social media came days after the Manchester Foundation Trust Charity shared on Instagram on Dec. 23 that the “Side to Side” singer had made a generous donation to children across the British city’s network of hospitals. Manchester, England, is the site of a May 2017 suicide bombing that occurred after one of Ariana’s concerts; the tragedy killed 22 people and injured hundreds more, according to CNN, and Ariana has remained connected to the city in the years since.

“The gifts she donated are being shared with babies, children and teenagers at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, Trafford General Hospital, Wythenshawe Hospital and North Manchester General Hospital. @mftnhs,” the hospital system wrote on Instagram at the time.
