A military helicopter pilot sparked a mutiny after claims he had affairs with two of his crew members’ wives.

Air Force bosses grounded him for safety reasons and launched a misconduct investigation.
The pilot told The Sun: “Flight safety is everything.
“If a pilot says, ‘I don’t want to be in the same cockpit as him,’ that is a danger to flight safety.
“That’s why the military has really strict rules about behavior that affects the cohesiveness of the unit or its operational effectiveness.”
Boeg was accused of hanging out with the wives of his co-pilot and door gunner – both of whom were his close friends – in two separate affairs.
A Wildcat helicopter instructor, Boeg rose through the ranks before being named a late entry officer.
His co-pilot and gunner were sergeants who “grew up with him” in the Air Corps.
A source said: “They have flown together many times over many years.
“They were all close friends.
“They went to each other’s weddings.”
In 2022, Boeg faced an investigation known as an “administrative action” over his alleged matchmaking with the attacker’s wife.
By this time, the gunner had been promoted to senior instructor and had two more years to serve, but quit because of how the probe was being operated.
Boeg was then sent 7,000 miles away to Brunei, with his wife and children, as a jungle flying expert.
But on frequent trips back to Britain he often stayed with a fellow Wildcat pilot in his family quarters at RNAS Yeovilton, Somerset, where their 652 Squadron.
When the co-pilot was sent to the US for training last year, Boeg allegedly engaged in an affair with his wife.
All three marriages have since broken down, a well-placed source told The Sun.
In November, the army launched an investigation into another alleged affair.
A source said: “The husband tried to keep it quiet.
“He wanted to restore his marriage.
“But when he realized that wasn’t going to happen, he made a complaint up the chain of command and that’s when the squadron found out what had happened.
“At first only one person was on the list to fly with Boega and they refused.
“But as soon as that person refused, everyone else followed suit.
“It’s a close-knit community and people were really annoyed.
“The chain of command had to ground him because no one wanted to fly with him.”
In 2022, the Ministry of Defense introduced a “zero tolerance for unacceptable sexual behavior” policy.
This creates “a presumption of discharge from the armed forces for any person who has behaved in a sexually unacceptable manner”.
An army spokesman said its soldiers were “held to the highest standards”, adding: “If individuals fail to meet these standards then appropriate action will be taken.”
