Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito Have a Twins Reunion: ‘My Brother!’

Almost 35 years later, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito are still “twins”.

On Friday, Schwarzenegger (76) shared a photo on Instagram of himself posing with his Gemini Costar DeVito (79) and DeVito’s daughter Lucy DeVito (40) on the set of their Broadway play I need that.

“My brother! It was fantastic to see Danny on Broadway I need that“, Schwarzenegger wrote in the caption of the photo. “He, Lucy and everyone involved kept the audience entertained, laughing and loving every minute – one of the best shows I’ve ever seen, a show with heart!! I can’t wait to work together again.”

Schwarzenegger and DeVito are famous actors in 1988 Gemini, a buddy comedy that revolves around a pair of genetically engineered fraternal twins separated at birth. The film grossed $111 million at the domestic box office upon release and was the fifth highest-grossing film released that year, according to Box Office Mojo.

The pair has an upcoming sequel film titled Threes in the works, although the project was delayed after the original film’s director Ivan Reitman died at age 75 in February 2022. Reitman was set to return for the sequel, which would have included the brothers’ revelation that they were triplets.

Eddie Murphy has reportedly been attached to join the cast of the sequel, and Tracy Morgan was recently reportedly set to take on a new role.

In May, Schwarzenegger said The Hollywood Reporter yes it is Gemini the sequel project was no longer happening and that Reitman’s son Jason Reitman “literally stopped the project when his father died.”

DeVito hinted that he and Schwarzenegger “have a little thing going on, a little project that we talked about.” Asked if it was related to Geminihe replied, “No, it’s just two friends, two guys.”

“Because we are happy together. We complement each other in many ways.” DeVito added, “I’m a lot stronger than him.”
