Aroosa Alam is a Pakistani defense journalist and president of the South Asia Free Media Association (SAFMA). She is famous in India for being a close friend of Captain Amarinder Singh.

Arusa’s relationship with Amarinder Singh was widely reported by the media in India and Pakistan. Although the media often suggested that the two were in a relationship, Arusa and Amarinder never agreed to this. Fatwa issued against Arusa
In 2007, Maulana Mabibur Rehman Shahi Imam of Ludhiana’s Jama Masjid issued a fatwa against Arusa over her rumored relationship with Captain Amarinder Singh. According to Maulana, Islam does not allow a woman to have any relationship with any other man except her husband, sons and brothers.
Investigating the identity of ISI agents
In 2021, the ruling minister of Punjab launched an investigation into Arusa for being an ISI agent. Some reports claim that she is an ISI agent and poses a threat to India. She denied the allegation and her friend Amarinder Singh also came out in support of Arusha and shared some photos of Arusha in which he can be seen with many dignitaries of India.
