Arun Goel started his on-the-job training as Development Administrator at National Institute of Rural Development, Hyderabad in 1989 and was trained there till 1990. From 1992 to 1993, he received on-the-job training in the initial course of executive training from the Institute, Mysore. In 1999, he started intermediate on-the-job training at Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, Batches. A year later, he received on-the-job training at the Institute of Disaster Management, Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi.
