Arun Singh Dhumal is an Indian businessman, best known for being the younger brother of Sports Minister Anurag Thakur. He is also known for his appointment as the chairman of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2022.

In the FIR filed against Arun and Anurag, it is mentioned that they forged documents to provide funds to officials to purchase land from a Dalit named Premu. During the enquiry, it was discovered that the land was not available for sale 20 years ago, but when Arun and Anurag bought the land from the owner, he had owned the land for only 15 years. In an interview, the brothers talked about the incident and said:
This is a political vendetta aimed at defaming me and the HPCA and tarnishing my image. If Virbhadra Singh thinks that by registering two more FIRS, they (Congress) can win the Lok Sabha elections, then he can go ahead and do it. We will litigate and defend our position. ”

- In 2013, he questioned Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh’s increase in income between 2008 and 2011.
- In 2019, when he became the treasurer of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), many on Twitter criticized the decision and said he was chosen because of dynastic politics.
- He said in an interview that Sourav Ganguly was offered the post of IPL president but he denied it. In the interview, he talked about this and said:
He was asked to be the IPL President otherwise Roger would never have gotten the chance and he is already 67 years old (age limit is 70). He’s our World Cup winner and that’s how we see it. If Dada accepts the IPL chairmanship, I will be out. I’m okay with that too. “
