Arun Yogiraj’s creation adorns the ‘garbha griha’ of the great Ram temple in Ayodhya. He went through more than 1000 photographs of Lord Ram while creating his version of Rama Lalla. While he was working on the Ram Lalla statue, he did not receive any other orders for sculptures. He told NDTV in an exclusive interview, “I have gone through more than 1000 pictures of Lord Ram. Every day, after work, I would look at those pictures, no matter how late it was.” “I was getting many orders (for sculptures), but I didn’t want my spiritual experience to be disturbed. I didn’t talk to anyone much during that time. I was cut off from the world for about six months. All the time I was thinking about Ram Lall.” During the dedication ceremony, Arun said it was the best day of his life.
