Arunita Kanjilal was born on Saturday, January 18, 2003 (age 18 in 2020) in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Her star sign is Capricorn. She was born and brought up in a musical family and was fond of music from a very young age. She attended St. Xavier’s School in Kolkata and later joined the University of Calcutta for her graduation course. Arunita is a trained classical singer and was trained by her uncle from a very young age.

Arunita Kanjilal started her career in 2013 at the age of 10 with the Zee TV Bangla singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Sa Little Champs. She became the winner of the show and gained a lot of popularity. After that, she started performing in stage plays all over Bengal and got the opportunity to work with many popular Bollywood celebrities.
In 2020, Arunita Kanjilal auditioned for Sony TV’s singing reality show Indian Idol Season 12. When she sang the song “Ae Re Pawan”, she mesmerized the judges Neha Kakkar, Vishal Dadlani and Himesh Reshammiya and was selected for the show.
