Aryanpal Ghuman started skating when he was four years old. Aryanpal used to wake up at four in the morning to practice skating. He used to spend his entire day studying and continue skating practice after taking extra classes in the evening. When asked how he balances studying and skating, Aryanpal gave credit to his mother and coaches, saying:

Without her (his mother), I wouldn’t have been able to get up in the morning and practice and study well. In order for me to get up at 4 o’clock, my mother has to get up at 3.30 in the morning. I’m also very thankful for my skating coach. He keeps me motivated. I actually quit skating for two years, but he convinced me to get back into it and now the sport takes me everywhere. ”

Aryanpal has won several medals in local, regional, national and international competitions. Aryanpal also won the National Skating Championship for five consecutive years. Aryanpal Ghuman finished seventh in the 1000m sprint final at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, with a time of 1 minute 30.466 seconds. Aryanpal was part of the men’s 3,000-meter speed skating relay championship team. The team also includes Anandkumar Velkumar, Siddhant Kamble and Vikram Ingale.
